So after my first week of quitting sugar, I have gained 1kg. I guess I did a good job of crowding out the hunger, hey! I’m not too woried about the gain, as the purpose of the exercise is to take back control of my relationship with food. And as I’m in the early stages of marathon training, the whole weight thing should balance itself out.
Talking of marathon teaining, I need to understand fuelling long runs better. I only managed 12/15km on Sunday before having a complete fuel crash. I had to walk home. (Even walking was hard). And I obsessed about my recovery bar waiting at home every single step. Sugar craving? Why, yes, I think so.
